Fawn Lake Cottage

 
 
 
The Fawn Lake Cottage is a 2 storey 4 bedroom cottage (about 2000 sq ft.) with a beautiful southerly view of Fawn Lake. (also known as Deer Lake) Sleeps 8 people maximum. 
 
There are 3 bedrooms on the upper level and the fourth bedroom is on the lower level.  Two bedrooms each have one queen size bed. One has a double bed and the bedroom on the lower level has two twin/single beds.
 
The cottage is heated by electric baseboard heaters in each room and propane gas fireplaces - one on each level.
 
A 12000BTU floor cool air conditioner on the upper floor with fans to move the air around
 
Satellite Televison: 27" TV and a 20" TV plus DVD player and ports for games machines.
 
Two 4 piece bathrooms - one on each level. 
 
The kitchen is equipped with stove, fridge, microwave oven, dishwasher, pots and pans, dishes, utensils, coffee maker and toaster. Drinking water comes from a drilled well. There's a water sterilization system to ensure clean drinking water.
 
Outside on the deck is a gas BBQ Grill, picnic table and chairs. On the lower level is a large picnic table and some muskoka chairs.
 
We provide a 14 foot canoe Canoe, and three - single person Kayaks, peddleboat, paddles, adult life preservers, and safety equipment to enjoy on Fawn Lake. 
There's a small 30 foot dock on the lake shore. (The water is 1 foot deep at the end of the dock)
 
Great Swimming!  The water deepens gradually. No rocks or logs, just soft sand.  Gord and his brother Rick had their first swim on June 21st.

NOTE: The Beauview Cottage Resort is a separate property - 20 minutes away.
Sorry, we are unable to offer the use of the Beauview facilities and services for our Fawn Lake guests.

Summer Activities:
Sandy bottom for swimming
We provide a 14 foot canoe Canoe, and three single person kayaks, life preservers, and safety equipment to enjoy on Fawn Lake.
 
Fishing for bass and pike. There were OFAH Angler Awards given in 2007 for a 34 inch Pike and a 23 inch largemouth bass caught in Fawn Lake.
 
Fawn Lake is a small lake suitable for kayaking, canoeing and small fishing boats.  There's a dirt boat launch nearby.
 
Winter Activities:
On the edge of the Hill and Gully Riders Snowmobile Trail 55 which connects into all the Ontario snowmobile Trail system
20 minutes from Rock Ridge Snow Tubing Park and skiing at Arrowhead Provincial park

From Toronto:
Take  Hwy 400 to Hwy 11 to Bracebridge, turn right onto Hwy 117 and travel East 3 KM, just past the Bracebridge Golf Course turn left and go North on Bonnie Lake Rd for 8KM.  Turn Right on Stephenson Rd. 1 East and travel for 2.7 KM.  Go past Fawn Lake Rd. and around the lake. Turn right onto North Deer Lake road.  The Fawn Lake cottage is the first cottage on the left - #22 North Deer Lake Road. "The Bells" is on the signpost.

The Fawn lake Cottage is rented on a weekly basis only.
In July and August, from Sunday to Sunday
For 8 people maximum (including children)   $1650/week plus GST and PST
